During our business meeting, we received a briefing on the exciting mission of TriStar Group, which has acquired the original TWA Wings of Pride MD-80 and an L-1011 for educational purposes. For more intormation on this group, go to:

www.TriStarHistory.org.

Jon Proctor presented President and co-founder Kerry Floyd (left) and Vice President/Secretary Mike Saxton with a TWA TriStar photo on behalf of the

DCS Alumni Association.

Our Saturday morning field trip took us first to the National Airline History Museum, formerly Save-A-Connie, where we were given a tour of the facility.

In the background is the original factory-delivered TWA DC-3.

The Connie interior has been restored to look much the way it did when TWA flew the type.

Kathleen Galindo, Jon Proctor and Gary Smedile languish in the airline days

of yesteryear, when flying was grand and non-revs amost always got on.

This Martin 404, in TWA colors but SAC titles, originally flew for Eastern.

Behind it is a replica of the TWA Rocket to the Moon that thrilled us as

young kids at Disneyland!

We marveled at all the TWA memorabilia in the museum. Below, Bill Nelson explains to wife Moneta what it was like in the good old days.

Another TriStar print was given to NAHM President Bob Glover (left) and

Vice-President-Operations John Roper. This picture, taken at Las Vegas

in 1975, is of the same L-1011 that now resides at the museum.

Evelyn Spath-Merado and Jennifer Larssen fought the ATC wars and barely got to Kansas City in time for Saturday dinner; their trip report was epic and getting home wasn't a walk in the park either. Bless you both, Ladies! Kathleen Galindo, in the background, came in a day early, unscathed.

Flashback! Above: Hank & Phyllis Krueger's daughter, Ashley Martin, made a cameo appearance at our 2004 Kanas City reunion, just to see her Uncle Jon Proctor and Uncle Dale Kreimer, who lived nearby in Chicago when she was

just a little girl. Below: Ten years later and still forever young, Ashley

renewed memories with her DCS uncles, along with Mom and Dad.
