Timothy D. Taggart, 73, of Elizabethtown, and formerly of Hershey, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019, at his residence with his family by his side.

Born in Philadelphia on August 29,1945, he was the son of the late John Vincent and Catherine McGary Taggart. A salesman at heart, Tim was blessed with the opportunity to own and operate three machine tool distribution companies. His greatest success in business was helping others find success. A true Patriot, Tim proudly served with the U.S. Army in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey. Tim was also a member of the American Legion Post 945. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jane A. Crowley Taggart, whom he married on April 12, 1969; one daughter Pamela J. Bonsall, wife of Joseph W. and their children Emily and Will of Elizabethtown; two sons, Denis M. Taggart husband of Molly and their children Wesley, Kellen and Shelly of Hershey, and Ryan P. Taggart of Hummelstown; one sister, Kay Kane wife of Jerry; five brothers, Tom Taggart, Patrick Taggart husband of Terry, Donald Taggart husband of Marion, Tony Taggart husband of Terry, and Terry Taggart husband of Mary; numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Tim's life was held on Monday, July 22, 2019, at 11 AM in the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey, 330 Hilltop Road, Hummelstown, with his pastor, The Rev. George Davis, officiating. Military honors followed the service at the church. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing in the church Monday from 9:30 AM until time of the service.
